Understanding Cabochon Types

Cap & Base Only

The decorative plastic cover only — no bulb or lampholder included. Choose this if you already have a working installation and want to change colours, replace damaged covers or mix colours within an existing build. Available in 15 colours in both E10 (40mm) and E14 (60mm) sizes.

Complete Units

Cabochon cover, LED bulb and lampholder supplied together as a matched set. The most convenient way to add individual light points to a new or existing installation without sourcing each part separately. Available in E10 and E14 in both standard domed and flat profile styles.

Flat Cabochon Variants

A lower-profile alternative to the standard domed cabochon. The flat style sits closer to the surface and produces a different light spread — better suited to installations where depth is restricted or a subtler aesthetic is preferred. Available in E10 and E14 with 40mm and 60mm cap options.

E10 vs E14 — Which Size?

E10 (40mm) suits tighter lettering, compact borders and installations where bulb spacing is close. E14 (60mm) is the classic fairground size — bolder, brighter and better suited to larger letters and marquee-style borders where individual units need to make a visual impact.
