RGB DMX-SPI Plug-and-Play Cabochons

RGB DMX-SPI Plug-and-Play cabochons produce colour effects based on each lamp's position in the chain.

The first cabochon follows the first pixel in the pattern, the second follows the second, the third follows the third, and so on. All "first" cabochons across multiple strings behave identically, all "second" cabochons behave identically — making them ideal for simple flowing chases without needing to program individual lamps.

How DMX-SPI Plug-and-Play Cabochons Work

"SPI" stands for Serial Pixel Interface — a data protocol that sends colour information to each lamp in sequence. In Plug-and-Play cabochons, effects are determined by each lamp's position in the chain, not by individual addressing. This means all lamps in position 1 show the same colour, all lamps in position 2 show the same colour, and so on — creating perfectly synchronised chase effects across multiple strings.

Compatible Control Options

Pixel Controllers – Connect directly and programme your own chase patterns, colour sequences, and effects.

DMX Systems – Use a DMX-to-SPI decoder (sold separately) to control these cabochons from professional DMX lighting desks or software.

Simple Installation

Pre-wired with moulded 4-pin connectors, these cabochons simply plug together — no soldering required. Connect your strings to a compatible controller and power supply, and you're ready to go. Available in multiple cabochon diameters including 42mm, 46mm, and 60mm.

Ideal Applications

Perfect for fairground rides, carnival attractions, retail displays, hospitality venues, and any installation where you want synchronised flowing effects across multiple strings with minimal setup complexity.
