Complete Cabochon Components Guide

Cabochons are the domed decorative covers that create the classic fairground aesthetic — fitted over LED bulbs to diffuse and colour the light. This collection contains everything in the static single-colour range, from individual replacement caps through to full kits with lampholders, bulbs, cable and power supply included.

E14 Cabochons — 60mm

E14 Cap & Base sets – The larger fairground cabochon with diamond-cut lens and fluted conic base for 360° light distribution. Available in 15 colours including fluorescent options. Fits a 19–22mm mounting hole.

E14 Complete units – Cap, base and lampholder supplied as a single assembled unit, ready to wire directly into your installation.

E14 Flat cabochons – Low-profile alternative with radial light spread. Available with chrome or white bases. Ideal where installation depth is limited.

E10 Cabochons — 40mm

E10 Cap & Base sets – Compact cabochons that pack serious punch for tighter spacing and detailed signwork. Same 15-colour range as E14, same IP67 weatherproofing.

E10 Complete units – Pre-assembled cap, base and lampholder for straightforward wiring.

E10 Flat cabochons – Low-profile 40mm option for installations where the standard domed profile won't fit.

Caps & Bases Explained

The cap is the decorative coloured dome — the part you see. The base is the mounting collar that holds the cap and secures the lampholder in place. Caps and bases are sold separately and as matched sets. If you're replacing only damaged covers on an existing installation, you can order caps alone. If you're building from scratch, complete units or cap and base sets are the most efficient option.

Bulbs, Cables & Power Supplies

Cabochon covers require compatible LED bulbs, wiring and a matched power supply to complete the installation. Replacement bulbs, LSZH tri-rated cable, lever connectors, DC barrel connectors and plug-in or DIN-rail 24V power supplies are all available in our Fairground Kits and Fairground Accessories collections.
