How to Choose the Right Fairground Lights

E10 vs E14 — Which Fitting Do You Need?

E10 and E14 refer to the thread diameter of the lamp holder in millimetres. E10 is the smaller fitting — better suited to tight lettering, detailed borders and compact displays. E14 is larger and works best for marquee-style borders, fairground fronts and bold letter signage where stronger visual impact is the priority. Both are available as static white, coloured or colour-changing variants.

For Sign Makers

Cabochon bulbs and complete kits are the most practical choice for illuminated lettering and channel signage. E10 suits letter heights where bulb spacing is tight. E14 suits larger formats — typically above 150mm letter height. Order complete kits for new builds, or individual bulbs and holders for replacements and modifications to existing installations.

For Events & Theatre

Colour-changing fairground lights are well suited to temporary installations, set builds and event branding. They run from a compatible LED controller and can be programmed to chase, flash or hold a static colour — giving full creative control without rewiring between events or productions.
