✨ 60mm RGB DMX-SPI Cabochon – Plug-and-Play Position-Based Effects
This 60mm RGB cabochon is a complete plug-and-play unit for fairground, signage and decorative lighting. Each unit includes an acrylic lens, integrated lampholder, 18 SMD5050 RGB LEDs and moulded 4-pin connectors for fast installation.
These cabochons react according to their position in the chain. The first cabochon performs the first step in the sequence, the second performs the second, and so on. This is different from individually addressable pixels where each lamp has its own unique address.
You can run multiple chains from the same controller output. All the "first" cabochons across every chain will behave the same, all the "second" cabochons the same, all the "third" the same — giving you perfectly synchronised effects without needing to programme individual lamps.

💡 What Is a Position-Based SPI Cabochon?
"SPI" stands for Serial Pixel Interface — a data protocol that sends colour information to each lamp in sequence. In these Plug-and-Play cabochons, effects are determined by each lamp's position in the chain, not by individual addressing. All lamps in position 1 show the same colour, all lamps in position 2 show the same colour, and so on — creating perfectly synchronised chase effects across multiple strings.
In Plain English: Every "first" lamp does the same thing at the same time. Every "second" lamp does the same thing. This makes it simple to create flowing chases across multiple strings without complex programming.
