Shining a Light on Sustainability: We Love LEDs™ and CarbonQuota Join Forces to Reduce Carbon Emissions

We are experts in LEDs, which are deemed to be the most energy-efficient and rapidly developing lighting technology—something we pride ourselves on and encourage everyone to choose over more dated lighting forms. Even with this in mind, there are always more ways to be energy-efficient and contribute to saving the planet. We've already taken steps to upgrade our building with a new air conditioning system and a second skin of windows; you can read more about this in our previous blog.

Our partnership with CarbonQuota, a well-respected carbon footprint assessment and reduction expert, is taking our commitment to net-zero to another level.

This journey towards achieving net-zero emissions led us to conduct a thorough Scope 1 and 2 carbon footprint assessment, independently verified by CarbonQuota. The results are in, and for the reporting year 2021/22, our carbon footprint stood at 36 tonnes CO2e.

Our dedication to using 100% renewable electricity meant that all the electricity we used during that time made zero contribution to this footprint.

After assessing our operational carbon impact, we now have a firm starting point to explore and invest in environmentally conscious alternatives. The report also provides a ranked list of initiatives focused on energy efficiency and reducing our carbon footprint, offering us a clear roadmap for our sustainability journey. It outlines annual reduction targets that we can meet to fulfil our goal of achieving net-zero status.
