A guide to LED dot colour options
When it comes to lighting, there is no technology more versatile than the light emitting diode (LED). LED dots—small, individual LED bulbs—produce a uniquely creative effect when pushed through a suitable surface. Unlike LED strips, dots can be placed at varying points on a material to create your own spotted effect. Our LED dots come in 50-dot strings with a 90° beam angle for a distinct ‘spot’ look.
With limitless positioning possibilities and an array of colour options, LED dots suit any decorative or display project. Colour influences mood and atmosphere—this guide explores the colour options in WeLoveLEDs’ LED dot range, their features, effects and uses.

White LED dots
White LED dots are a staple of LED lighting, offering versatile use. Our DOT9 LEDs deliver pure white at 6500 K, while the DOT12 provides cool white at 9000 K.
Both DOT9 and DOT12 operate at 5 V or 12 V, carry an IP66 rating and are perfect for outdoor displays, garden features or motorhome accents. Their 90° beam angle ensures a clear dotted effect, ideal for weddings, garden parties or any elegant event.
Single-colour LED dots
Single-colour LED dots emit one fixed hue for vibrant impact. In addition to pure white, the DOT9 LED Dot is available in red, blue, green and yellow—each offering unique mood effects. These 5 V dots fit surfaces up to 3 mm thick.
Blue evokes calm and serenity—ideal for bedrooms or reading nooks—while green reflects nature, perfect for conservatories or garden displays. The DOT12 LED Dot in red brings passion and warmth to dining areas or hospitality events, and can also serve as a striking warning indicator.
RGB LED dots
For full-colour versatility, the DOT12RGB LED Dot offers over 16 million hues. These 5 V or 12 V dots are IP66-rated for outdoor use and feature 50 dots per string.
Control colour blends and lighting effects with a Micro RGB controller with remote, which provides 22 dynamic programmes and 20 static colours—perfect for mood-setting or party-ready displays.
